Dear Parent/Carer,

We hope this message finds you well. We are excited to welcome our new Year 7 students to King's Norton Boys' School this coming Wednesday.

We would like to apologise to you for communications around parent pay not effectively reaching you, please do not think this is our normal standards of communication. We have been let down by the post office, however we should have had a back-up plan in place for this eventuality. Please accept our apologies, if parent pay has not been solved by Wednesday, please be reassured that no student would be left unfed.

Allow us to share some useful information with you for your son's first day:

Date: Wednesday, 06/09/23 Start Time: 8:30 AM Finish Time: 3:05 PM

Entrance: Please note that all students should enter through the pedestrian side gates of the school. Our staff will be there to assist and guide them.

Uniform: We kindly request that all Year 7 students wear the full school uniform on their first day. This includes the blazer, shirt, trousers, tie, and shoes. We will make adaptations during the day to suit the weather conditions.

PE Kit: There is no need for students to bring their PE kit on the first day, once they have their timetables they will know when to bring their kit in.

We look forward to meeting our new Year 7s and embarking on this exciting journey together. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Parking: We know that most of our students will walk home with their friends. However, if you are meeting your son after school then please park on surrounding roads rather than obstructing the traffic on Northfield Road which is a busy bus route. As per the highway code cars should not park on or opposite the yellow school markings.
