Dear Parents,

The countdown has be gone to the 2021 ski trip. Your son may have taken part in the first skiing course in November last year in preparation for our trip or may already be a competent skier. Before the trip we need to get every student to the ‘Recreational’ standard at the Snowdome. This way everyone benefits from being out in the mountains, enjoying full days of skiing.

I am pleased to inform you that I have booked a 2 hour afternoon coaching session at the Snowdome on Wednesday 20th November. This time we shall be leaving school at 12.10 p.m. (end of period 3) in the minibus for a 2-hour lesson on the snow. We should be back to school for 5.20 p.m. depending upon the M6 traffic.

Please bring a packed lunch to eat on the mini bus, drink and clothes to ski in. 

The cost of the Snowdome skiing lesson afternoon is £25. Once your son reaches the recreational standard then he can go to the Snowdome in the holidays as a recreational skier and gain further experience for our trip to France. We need to ensure that all students now reach the recreational standard on the day.

I hope that all of the year 8 skiing team will be able to join the sessions in November.
