At King Edward VI King’s Norton School for Boys our Governing Board has a broad balance of diversity, skills, knowledge and experience. This means we are able to make a valuable contribution to all of our students’ education, opportunities and futures, by providing strategic leadership and accountability in the school, which is underpinned by our three core functions:
overseeing the financial performance of the school and ensuring its money is well spent
holding the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its students
ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction.
Our Full Governing Board meets six times per year, with a separate finance committee which meets a minimum of 4 times a year to provide a thorough examination of the school finances underpinning the Governing Boards core fiduciary responsibility. Other statutory roles are undertaken by link governors.
