E-Safety for Parents

King Edward VI King’s Norton School for Boys is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, this page is designed to help safeguard you and your family when using the internet at home or at school.

In school we have looked at the safety of our online monitoring and have installed ‘esafe’ which monitors student computer usage. At home we recommend that you consider installing parental controls and monitoring your sons use of computers and other devices.

MOMO is a dangerous app that sends people sinister ‘challenges’ and inappropriate content.  It has been around for a while, but seems recently resurfaced.  We wanted you to be aware to be vigilant as it is an addictive app that promotes things like self harm.  Please see the below link to an information sheet that provides you with more details.
