Public Examination Results 2017
We are delighted to be able to report another year of excellent results. Early indications are that given our performance against other schools nationally, they will become the best results ever achieved by boys at KNBS.
77% of our students gained both English and maths at grades 9 – 4. 81% of our students achieved a 4 or above in mathematics, 83% in English. 75% achieved a level 5 or above in at least one English qualification, with 64% achieving 5+ in language and 68% in literature. The figure for 5+ in maths was 60%.
Our students achieved a total of 14 of the new ‘9’ grades in English and maths – only awarded for exceptional performance.
In science, 67% of students achieved at least 2 qualifications at grade ‘C’ or above. 34% of students achieved a strong Ebacc pass, with 35% achieving the standard pass.
There were excellent results in languages, humanities, RS, PE, art and music.
Many students achieved a high number of 7, 8, 9, A and A* passes in a range of subjects, and we wish them all well in their next endeavours.
In sixth form, 100% of students achieved 2 or more A levels at grades A* - E. 87% of students achieved 3 or more A levels at grades A* - E. The average grade has continued to rise from D in 2015, D+ in 2016 to C in 2017.
Congratulations go to parents and staff, whose support made these results possible, and of course to our wonderful students who strove to make them a reality.
